Pye Equestrian
About Us

Pye Equestrian offers both on-site and traveling instruction to all levels of riders from beginner through advanced in a variety of disciplines including eventing, hunters, jumpers and dressage. We are based out of Albuquerque, NM at Rancho Alegre in the South Valley but we eagerly offer our services in teaching and training nationally and are willing to travel wherever we are needed.

Jessica is an advanced level event rider who has competed multiple horses to the upper levels of eventing. She grew up in the hunter/jumper and equitation rings of Wellington, FL but by age 12 had fallen in love with the versatility and challenge of eventing. Jessica has worked for and ridden with numerous top hunter/jumper, dressage and eventing instructors during her journey including Karen & David O’Connor, Captain Mark Phillips, Mike Huber, Missy & Jessica Ransehousen, Debbie Divecchia and Emilee Spinelli. She has also obtained her master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and worked in Corporate America at the director level. With a unique perspective to most horse professionals, Jessica strives to create a positive, safe and fun environment for every level of rider by understanding each of her student’s personalities, needs and goals.

Jessica has built a solid list of accolades and accomplishments in her 26 years in the sport. After a successful younger junior career in the hunter/equitation ranks on the rated circuit, Jessica quickly climbed the levels of eventing. She won the individual gold medal at the NAJYRC CCI* at the age of 16, the individual silver medal at the NAJYRC CCI** at the age of 18 and the individual and team gold medals at the NAJYRC CCI** at the age of 19. Jessica was named to the United States Equestrian Team’s High Performance List for future team members on three separate occasions and she also won her first Advanced level competition. Jessica competed at the Red Hills CIC***, the North Georgia CIC*** and the Richmond CIC*** on two different horses. She was awarded the United States Eventing Association’s Ironmaster Trophy for dedication and bravery in the sport of eventing along with the United States Pony Club’s Cavalry Award for outstanding achievement by a pony clubber. Jessica has produced several four and five years olds to the upper levels of the sport successfully and thoroughly enjoys young horses and their development.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, 'press on' has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race."
- Calvin Coolidge
